Is Your Dog Bone-A-Fide?

Your dog must pass these credentials before being Bone-A-Fide:

  • Completed an initial visit, with your dog, at the ranch Visits at the Snohomish/Clearview facility are done Saturdays between 12 pm and 3 pm, with no appointments necessary, unless otherwise specified on the home page of our website. Visits at the Lake Stevens facility are done Saturdays at noon. All dogs must be spayed or neutered. We do not accept Pit Bull Terriers or Akita's sorry.

  • A filled out and signed pet (snohomish information form), or a (lake stevens information form) This form is available in PDF format. If you don't have Adobe Reader, click here to download (you can also pick this up during your initial visit at the ranch).

  • A copy of current vaccinations including Bordatella and a negative fecal test within last six months (If the latter was not done at last checkup, a stool sample can be taken to the vet usually without an appointment, and the results will be available the following day).

  • Enough food for the length of your dogs visit (include a little extra food because with all the exercise they get, they tend to eat a little more than usual), also include any medications and supplements with instructions about amount and frequency.

For all Boarding Dogs: please only send as much food, medicine, treats, etc. as your dog will need during their stay. Please label everything thoroughly and have it in disposable containers (i.e. plastic bag). Please Do Not send containers, crates, beds, bowls, leashes, or toys, we have plenty of all these things. If one of our vans will be dropping off your dog after a boarding stay, you must prepay for all services, or have a credit card on file. You will be notified by whomever schedules your boarding that you must prepay with a credit card or check if your dog is going to be dropped off after their vacation at the Ranch.

The Bone-A-Fide Dog Ranch is open weekdays from 7:30am until 6pm, and 9am to 6pm on weekends. If your dog is boarding they must be dropped off at Bone-A-Fide any time between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday or Sunday. The early drop off time is to ensure the dogs get plenty of socialization and become familiar with the pack before passing out after dinner. When your dog's vacation is over, you may pick up your dog any day, any time between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. If your dog is being groomed, you must pick up your dog after 12:30 pm but before 6:00 pm. As always we charge a daycare fee if your dog is picked up after 3:00 pm ($20 for one dog, $30 for two).

When you arrive at the ranch, you will probably trigger our driveway alarm or one of our trusty four-legged alarms; however, if we do not come to the gate within a few minutes, please Do Not Open the Gate! Use the cell phone provided in the mailbox to call one of the posted numbers and we will click the gate open to let you in, please make sure the gate is closed behind you.

If your dog is getting picked up by the Bone-A-Fide van, The pickup will usually be between 9-11 am, and the drop off time will usually be between 4-6pm. You must talk with someone at Bone-A-Fide before pick-up/drop-off arrangements can be accommodated. For our regular daycare's who happen to be boarding and wish to be picked-up and/or dropped-off, there is a $10 fee for each way, plus $20 for daycare on the last day. Another option is Seattle Dog Taxi - Full Service Dog Taxi- visit them at www.seattledogtaxi.com - for all their rates and service information, or call them at 206-853-5944
